Created as part of a course by Maaida Noor, this study explores the foundations of the Maghrebi script; a distinctive North African style of Arabic calligraphy. Using a traditional reed pen and a dot-based system, the work focuses on rhythm, proportion, and the expressive qualities of letterforms. It’s both a technical and meditative practice, rooted in historical tradition and guided by an appreciation for balance, harmony, and visual meaning.
